Boasting in His Weakness
He calls his thorn a “weakness”. We all have weaknesses, thorns in our flesh. I do, and you do. But Christ is always there, Christ said to Paul his grace was sufficient for you. The power of Christ rest on Paul due to his weakness, so in this he can boast.
The Strength of Christ Rest on Us
All we require is faith, he is now our High Priest, praying for us, with the power to redeem. When we feel the finger of accusation saying to us “Sinner, you will never overcome your sin.” We are then blessed by the strength of Christ resting upon us, ready to forgive us as we repent. In strength of Christ the chains fall behind us. We are in Christ, we cast our burdens to the Holy Spirit. “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.(Mt.13:13)
On the Cross Jesus Wore a Crown of Thorns
There lay the source of our Faith, and his strength in our weaknesses. is in the words of Christ, his promises to us. So many wonderful promises of his gifts, forgiveness, new life, intercession. So many, these are where our faith rest, and the source of our victory and joy. On the cross Jesus wore a crown of thorns.
