CHRISTIANS CAUSE VIOLENCE

I previously operated a Blog called the Americanist and a Peace Blog, after various mass or school shootings, I often had various articles on violence. I will only briefly address this, the 90% controlled news media is already destroying all rationality over the recent shootings last week (Aug. 5 2019).

Why has America been involved in some type of war, large and small, almost every year since 1776? (Wikipedia) Why do males prefer violent films and sports over females in overwhelming percentages. Why do males remember more about violent films than females. Why do males go to prison for violent crimes, commit violent crimes, in very large percentages over females. Why are us American males addicted to violence in our culture? “The answer my friend is blowing in the wind….”

Christians Can Greatly Reduce American Violence

The last census stated 70% of Americans claimed to identify themselves as Christians. That 70% is reducing quickly, especially among those who are 30 and under. DO SOMETHING!

Many Christians Wouldn’t be Identified By Co-Workers as Being Devout

Not all, we all know people who at work have religious literature on their desk, made religious comments often. “Thank you Jesus!” Of course this doesn’t mean their life is filled with Christ. Many Christians lives ARE filled with Christ, many aren’t. Why?

The Church Has Changed, We Have Lost Something

My first three blogs, concentrated on the differences between the early Church and the contemporary one. And not for the better. Why? We do not follow Jesus. We are not led by the Holy Spirit. Our worship services, and churches are not based on the New Testament. Our Ministers and Priest do not teach living in the spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, as taught in the New Testament. This was the purpose of the earlier Blogs.

Where Is The Holy Spirit In Our Lives?

Backing up some, many people don’t fit the pitfalls I am discussing.

Many of us believe the Holy Spirit is within when you profess faith in Christ. However in reading the New Testaments, there appears throughout different levels either available to some or that individuals are able to call on. Below Paul is addressing and praying for the Ephesians on being filled with the Holy Spirit. Look closely on the how and the results.

ACTS 3:14

For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lords holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, [HIS LOVE IS 3 DIMENTIONAL] 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge [IS UNBELIEVABLY SO]—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God . 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Pray

Strengthened with power ….in your inner being

Christ dwells in your hearts through faith

Rooted and established in love

Power together with all Gods people…

…know how high, deep, surpasses understanding is Christ love.

…Filled with…all the fullness of God.

Is This You?
The Holy Spirit Descending As a Dove

This describes a Christian filled with the Holy Spirit. You do want this to be you, right? Don’t you? You may not, because you may feel you have to give up too much, or you are unable to meet the standard. The standard is Christ loves you, remember the cross, he promised to fill you and never leave you. He has already forgiven your sins, repent, pray and for help and carry on. Repeat as necessary. But don’t give up, really try behavior modification, he’s there, faith!

I believe the big thing in many, is what you have to give up, you don’t want to stand out. Be like them who stand at the flag poll, or always talk about Jesus. Is it worth it? Re-read Ephesians 3:14-21. And think again. Read it again and highlight in you heart the things I highlighted. Pray as Paul did for the Ephesians, but for yourself in your own words. God will bless you, and be filled with all the fullness of God.
